What is the new Tesla robot?

You may have seen by now that Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently announced that Tesla is going to start building humanoid type robots. The idea is that we can use robots to complete tasks that are repetitive or dangerous for us humans to compleate. The robot can be used to do thing like putting screws in the seats for a car. This would be repetitive for us humans to do but it is no issue for a robot. The robot is built around the Tesla FSD (Full Self Driving) computer. This computer is the same one used in Tesla cars to enable the cars autopilot system that can drive down the road for you. Because this computer is already based around AI algorithms it just makes sense to reuse this computer for another kind of AI that Tesla is going to be using. The robot has arms and legs that can move just like a normal human can. However the motor inside of the legs is limited to only being able to walk at 5 MPH. Elon Musk states that it is limited to this speed so you can "outrun the robot" if you ever needed to. It is the same size as a real person so it is able to also do the same big tasks that we are able to do.

The robot is expected to release in 2022 however that is in Elon time so take it with a grain of salt.
