AppleToo calls for change in an open letter to Tim Cook

So #AppleToo has created a letter to Tim Cook and the senior leadership team which you can read more here.

Their full letter to Tim Cook and the Senior Leadership team (shortened and simplified version):

Apple prevents itself on its commitment to diversity, equity, and an environment where every person is able to do their best work. But our experiences with the People team in dealing with harassment and discrimination have many of us vulnerable.
Apple’s policies on privacy and device linking ensures privacy invasion. When we seek leave or accommodation through Apple’s mental and physical health partners, we are asked to release our medical information to Apple and any of Apple’s agents for two years. Apple prevents privacy, making us feels like our privacy is no concern.
Hundreds of us have documented our stories of abuse, discrimination, and harassment and reported our stories through internal channels and receiving no relief.
At Apple, we should do the right thing, and must extend how we treat employees. We are reaching out because Apple must fully promise their inclusion, diversity, equality, proper treatment and equity. We demand a safe and welcoming environment.

They have requested the following:

  1. Increased separation between Apple owned and worker owned digital and physical property in all Apple Policies.

  2. Provide transparent livable, equitable, and fair compensation across all of Apple.

  3. Audit all third-party relationships, such as: Sedgwick, Vendors and Staffing Agencies, and NAVEX Global.

  4. Make everyone accountable.

  5. Provide a process for group concerns to be heard with a transparent feedback loop.

Apparently, my thoughts say this could be fake as I have looked on other news outlet articles and a friend told me about it.
